Bootsy was abandoned behind a local motel where a colony of cats exists. Bootsy is a gentle guy and acted as a protector to all the other kitties at the hotel, but Bootsy was different than the others. He was friendly, would always wait on the sidewalk when the colony care taker arrived each day to feed them, and would escort her back to the feeding station. He allowed the females to eat first and he was okay with being petted and eventually allowed himself to be picked up. He wants attention, but will wait patiently for you to have time to love on him or feed him. If patience doesn't work, he'll talk to you and say "Hey! Pet me / feed me already!" Bootsy is still a gentleman at the rescue and gets along with all the other kitties. Bootsy is a little shy, but will make a great companion kitty for anyone with a quiet & stable home. Our adoption fees are $75.00 for any kitty 6 months of age or older. $85 for kittens under 6 months of age. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, FeLV test, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful kitties, we ask that you please fill out our online Cat Adoption Application on our website aaFlorida.org.  There is a link on the top of the home page.
